Posted on February 16, 2010 at 15:23 PM EST
CEP (complex-event processing) vendor Streambase on Tuesday launched a Web site where customers, developers, and partners can download, share, and perhaps one day sell components. Companies use CEP software to monitor the flow of activity in their IT environments, looking for patterns, making correlations, and triggering corrective actions when necessary. While it is applicable to a wide range of industries, today CEP is most popular among sectors like financial services and government intelligence agencies.
