Mississippi (Mesothelioma Cancer News) – A federal jury has found two plaintiffs attorneys guilty of fraud in an asbestos lawsuit. As reported by Law.com, the Mississippi attorneys were found to have defrauded Illinois Central Railroad in bringing forth asbestos claims by plaintiffs who allegedly already reached settlements previously.

As noted in the report, clients had settled with the railroad company for $210,000; however, the attorneys, William Guy and Thomas Brock of McComb, were held liable by the jury for compensating the railroad for the total amount.

Daniel Mulholland of the Jackson, Miss., office of Forman Perry Watkins Krutz and Tardy, and lead attorney for the railroad is quoted in the report as stating that companies, “have become more sensitive to litigation abuse, and more willing to ferret it out… I think this new attitude is a healthy change.” News Source: http://www.WiredPRNews.com - Press Release Distribution
