Artesian Resources Corporation (NASDAQ: ARTNA) has announced that Bruce A. Thornton, CSP, recently joined the company as Director of Safety.
“Bruce has extensive experience in safety promotion and design, and we are proud to have him join our management team,” said Artesian President and CEO Dian C. Taylor. “Our first priority is the safety of our employees, and we know that Bruce brings the knowledge and experience necessary to protect their well-being.”
Thornton has more than 25 years’ experience developing programs to maintain safety in the workplace for a variety of companies. He most recently served as Vice President of Health, Safety and Environment for USM. He also developed and supported Avon Products’ worldwide safety and health programs.
Thornton, a Certified Safety Professional, is a Professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the Delaware Safety Council. He currently serves on the Delaware Safety Council’s Board of Directors.
