CARMEL, Ind., Nov. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, John R. Bear, President and CEO of MISO, issued the following statement regarding Entergy New Orleans filing with the New Orleans City Council:
"Today's filing by Entergy New Orleans is another important step forward in making sure the company's customers receive the benefits of joining the MISO market.
"Those benefits are clear. Entergy's full integration into MISO will reduce customers' costs, while also providing the type of planning and infrastructure upgrades necessary to improve reliability and increase efficiency in the Entergy system.
"We expect to file our testimony in the next few weeks, which will help provide the City Council the information they need to make its decision."
