The Quality of Life Foundation has made positive differences in peoples' lives by focusing on initiatives that improve the quality of life of those who have been struck by misfortune. In March 2010, the Quality of Life Foundation launched the Wounded Warrior Family Care Program to support families who provide a substantial amount of care giving to a wounded, injured or ill veteran. In joining with VeteransPlus to promote Operation Honor Wall, Michael Zeider, Chairman of the Quality of Life Foundation said: "Thank you to all who serve and have served - our service members, Veterans, and the families who stand beside them".
The nonprofit organizations join business leaders, celebrities and elected officials in the Honor Wall project as a means to give everyone an opportunity to personally say thank you in their own way...via the Web site, Twitter or Facebook.
"By visiting and signing the Honor Wall, Americans can actively remember family members, loved ones, neighbors or friends who have paid the ultimate price. At the same time, they can make a real difference in the lives of those who served and face challenges every day", said John Pickens, VeteransPlus Executive Director. VeteransPlus is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that teaches service members, veterans and their families the skills necessary to better manage their finances, get control of their debt and learn how to save and invest for their futures and for their children's futures. Whether they are presently deployed overseas or completed their service many years ago, VeteransPlus is available to help them manage their financial lives.
