It's easy to see a day like Thursday and wonder, "what just happened?" We're referring of course to the market's hard-hitting reversal of fortune which with losses approaching 2.2% in the S&P 500. While there's a ton of fascinating catalysts with which to pin the damaging action on, only one gave the early heads up and at a minimum, allowed investors to circumvent a good deal of today's losses. If you haven't guessed, it's the VIX and once again,
