MEMC Tops Estimates

MEMC Electronic Materials Inc. (NYSE: WFR) fell to a second quarter loss of 27 cents per share from earnings of 21 cents per share a year ago as margins tumbled but the results were better than expected lifting the stock price 22 cents to close at $2.28.
