LA PRAIRIE, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 10, 2006) - The management of Vantex Resources Ltd (TSX VENTURE:VTX) acquired 100% of a property within the Anatacau-Pivert geological trend, located south of the Opinaca reservoir, James Bay.

The property is more than 8 kilometres in length and comprises 20 cells covering an area of 1,040 hectares. The Anatacau-Pivert formation is a well known geological trend that contains many important gold showings. To the north, Ariane Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:DAR) intersected important gold showings by drilling and to the east, the lac a l'Eau Claire deposit (approx. 900,000 ounces all categories- see Eastmain Resources website).

The Anatacau-Pivert formation consists of amphibolitized basalts and amphibolites. Andesites are also present and are associated with iron formations. Rhyolites represent massive and silicified volcanics. Silicification, chloritization and sericitization are also present in this unit.

Preliminary exploration works will take place next spring.

The property was acquired from an arms length prospector in exchange of 600,000 common shares of the Company and 2,000$.
