Pfizer's Inhaled Insulin Linked To Lung Cancer

Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) reported that a handful of smokers testing its inhaled insulin drug treatment developed lung cancer. Shares of its partner Nektar Therapeutics (Nasdaq: NKTR) plummeted $1.80 to close at $5.39 while shares of rival Mannkind Corp. (Nasdaq: MNKD) skidded $3.50 to close at $2.35. Pfizer stock eased 11 cents to close at $20.89.
