Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) announced that Bruce Graham, executive director of international business operations and compliance, will deliver remarks at the annual Society for International Affairs (SIA) Defense Trade Controls Conference in Tel Aviv, Israel. Graham joins a panel of industry experts including David Block Temin, corporate vice president and general counsel of Elbit Systems Ltd., and Gideon Meretz, a representative from the Legal Advisor’s Office Israeli Ministry of Defense, to discuss the industry’s export compliance best practices and lessons learned, as well as how new compliance regulations affect trade policy/policies with the United States (U.S.).
“Compliance is a critical component in Textron’s approach to business and in satisfying customer needs,” said Graham. “I am honored to represent Textron at this SIA forum and to share our experiences, including our culture of compliance and related programs Textron has in place to monitor export compliance and ensure all laws and regulations are being observed.”
Graham will speak with more than 500 international defense industry personnel regarding best practice approaches, and will review policies regarding foreign national employment, visits to the U.S., dual nationals and retransfer requests. He also will provide guidance on procedures for when and how to report voluntary disclosures and improper activities should an organization discover law violations.
