For the 17th consecutive year, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, will host approximately 50 children, ages 7-11, for a day of fun and educational activities as part of the national “Take Your Child to Work Day.” Originally created to expose career options and build self-confidence, the event serves to show children the value of education and to begin discovering their future options. Children of employees will have an opportunity to visit the workplace and learn about the company, different products and technologies, and various careers at Canon U.S.A.

“It gives us great joy to offer our staff the opportunity to share their work experience with their children,” said Bunji Yano, senior director and general manager, Corporate Communications, Canon U.S.A. “Take Your Child To Work Day provides children with an inside look at what their parents do when they go to work. We are excited to be able to help raise awareness of real-world business scenarios in a fun and interactive way for the children, while at the same time exposing them to our philosophy of helping to create a better world for future generations.”

One of the first experiences that children in attendance will have is the opportunity to exchange business cards amongst one other.
